This exquisite and authentic singing bowl was recovered from a Tibetan monastery, and judging by the quality, would have likely been used by high Lamas. The exact age is not known, but the natural wear suggest many years of use, possibly generations. The writer of this description is not an expert, but I had the privilege of handling these bowls and hearing their tones. I have sounded many modern singing bowls and the sound quality and sustaining ring on these bowls is beyond compare.

The inside of the bowl is embossed with an image of Sakyamni Buddha, painted with gold, surrounded by the Mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum also etched and painted with gold. The outside of the bowl is also adorned with the “Mani” and on the bottom a representation of the “Buddha Eyes”.
